Happy Hive Educator with Child

Our facilities are purpose-built for school-age children with secure entry, CCTV monitoring and supervised outdoor spaces.

Real Feedback From Real Families

★★★★★

"My daughter has been going to Happy Hive wilson since the start of the year and she genuinely loves it. The educators know her by name, they know what she's into, and she's made proper friends there. That's all I needed to see."

"The 6:30am start at Cooloongup is honestly a lifesaver. I work early shifts and every other centre in Rockingham opened at 7 or later. That extra half hour makes the difference between a calm morning and a chaotic one."

"We moved to Wilson last year and didn't know anyone. The Happy Hive team made my son feel welcome from his first day. He was nervous - now he talks about the place non-stop. I wish I'd found them sooner."

Common Questions

Things Parents Usually Ask Us

What is CCS and how does it work?
The Child Care Subsidy (CCS) is an Australian Government benefit that reduces the cost of approved childcare for eligible families. The subsidy amount depends on your combined household income, the hours you work or study, and the type of care you use. Happy Hive is a CCS-approved provider across all our centres, so you can claim the subsidy through your myGov account. Some families receive up to 90% of their fees covered.
What is OSHC and who is it for?
OSHC stands for Outside School Hours Care. It covers Before School Care, After School Care and Vacation Care for primary school-aged children - generally ages 4 to 12. Happy Hive runs OSHC at our Cooloongup, Wilson and Mount lawley, and our Mount Lawley centre will open in May 2026. OSHC is CCS approved, so most families will only pay a gap fee.
What is the Kindy programme and does my child qualify?
In Western Australia, the Kindy year is a funded kindergarten programme for children who turn four before 30 June in the year they enrol. It runs in the year before Pre-Primary school. Happy Hive offers the WA Kindy programme at our centre and is rolling it out to Wilson, Cooloongup and Mount Lawley. CCS applies to the Kindy programme as well.
Which primary schools do you service?
Our centres are located close to a number of local primary schools. If you're not sure whether we service your child's school, just give us a call or fill in our enquiry form and we'll confirm straight away. We can often arrange transport from nearby schools for Before and After School Care.
Are your educators qualified and screened?
Yes. Every educator at Happy Hive holds a current Working with Children Check (WWCC) and is qualified in early childhood education. All staff are certified in first aid, CPR and anaphylaxis management. We don't roster anyone who isn't fully cleared and trained - it's not negotiable for us.
How do I enrol or find out about availability?
The fastest way is to use our enquiry form below or call your nearest centre directly. We'll confirm availability, answer any questions, and book you in for a tour if you'd like to come and have a look around first. For our upcoming Mount Lawley and Victoria Park centres, you can join the waitlist now and we'll be in touch as opening dates approach.
