At Happy Hive Early Learning, we believe every child deserves a bright and stimulating environment to learn, explore, and grow. We follow the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), providing a play-based approach that fosters a genuine love of learning in a safe and supportive setting.
Our team brings extensive childcare experience and a shared commitment to building a secure, dynamic environment where children can explore their interests, develop essential life skills, and build meaningful connections with peers and educators.
Every educator at Happy Hive is carefully selected, thoroughly trained, and deeply committed to providing the highest quality experience for every child in our care.
All educators hold relevant early childhood qualifications and a current Working with Children Check. No exceptions.
Our team stays current through ongoing professional development, workshops, and training in early childhood best practices.
We believe parents are vital partners. Educators maintain open, transparent communication and provide regular updates on each child's progress.
More than teachers - mentors and role models. Our educators take the time to understand each child's individual strengths, interests, and needs - building genuine relationships that help children feel settled, confident, and ready to learn.
We don't just provide childcare - we create a nurturing community where children grow, explore, and belong.
Our centres are equipped with appropriate facilities, maintained to the highest hygiene standards, and designed to provide a healthy, secure learning environment.
Every child is unique. Our educators tailor their approach to each child's individual needs, interests, and developmental stage.
We focus equally on social, emotional, and physical development - helping children build confidence, resilience, and essential life skills.
Our educators bring both the qualifications and the genuine care that families deserve, supported by ongoing training and development.
Arts, music, sport, gardening, literacy and outdoor exploration give children the opportunity to discover new interests and develop enthusiasm for learning.
Parents receive regular updates on their child's progress and are actively encouraged to be involved in their learning journey at Happy Hive.
Our curriculum is built around open-ended, play-based activities that spark curiosity and help children develop a strong connection to their learning environment and community.
Hands-on gardening in our outdoor spaces - learning about nature, responsibility, and the environment in a practical and enjoyable way.
Physical activity woven into every day. Children develop motor skills and cardiovascular fitness through structured sport and active outdoor play.
Painting, collage, puppet-making and craft - our art programme encourages creativity, self-expression, and imagination in a supportive environment.
A core part of the Happy Hive experience - exposing children to real-world settings and helping them develop a broader understanding of the world.
Playgrounds, gardens, and nature areas give children regular opportunities to explore freely and connect with the natural environment.
Hands-on, age-appropriate maths using interactive activities and exploration to build early numeracy skills in a fun and engaging way.
A systematic literacy programme supporting language development and early reading skills through a structured weekly approach built around books and stories.
Everything we do at Happy Hive is guided by a set of values that put children first - always.
Every child's safety, health, and emotional wellbeing is our highest priority - in everything we do.
We honour every child as an individual - celebrating diversity, respecting differences, and welcoming all families.
We set high standards for ourselves and commit to continuous improvement in how we educate and care for children.
We see families as essential partners in each child's journey - maintaining open communication every step of the way.
We aim to instil a genuine, lasting enthusiasm for learning that children carry with them long after they leave our care.
Families trust us with their most precious people. We take that responsibility seriously - every day, without exception.
We're not a big-box childcare chain. We're a locally run team that takes the time to understand how each child ticks - what lights them up, what they find tricky, and what they need to feel settled and safe.
We're an approved childcare provider under the CCSS Act 2010. All centres hold current NQF compliance with ACECQA.
Every staff member holds a current Working with Children Check and relevant early childhood education qualifications. No exceptions.
All educators are certified in first aid, CPR and anaphylaxis management - so you can drop off knowing your child is in safe hands.
We keep parents in the loop on how their child's day went - the good stuff and anything worth knowing. No news isn't always good news.
Our facilities are purpose-built for school-age children with secure entry, CCTV monitoring and supervised outdoor spaces.

"The 6:30am start at Cooloongup is honestly a lifesaver. I work early shifts and every other centre in Rockingham opened at 7 or later. That extra half hour makes the difference between a calm morning and a chaotic one."
"We moved to Wilson last year and didn't know anyone. The Happy Hive team made my son feel welcome from his first day. He was nervous - now he talks about the place non-stop. I wish I'd found them sooner."
